CIFF Results 

CEllesty International Film Festival (CIFF), say thank you to all filmmakers and participants in its inaugural film festival which was held online [ http://www.blackcarpetpremier.com ] between Sunday January 17, 12:00 PM – February 25, 11:59:59 PM, any votes that was made after this time was not recorded in our data-base.

A total of 41 films was submitted, only 27 made it to the selection stage. It was 40 days of voting, a total of nearly 20,000 votes this is almost 500 votes per day. CIFF has given thirteen awards four more than the original nine it had planned.

Awards Overview

Voting Awards

Faith Based: this category got the largest number of votes, the most watch movies and it had the most competitive voting with just 1% separating the winner (“The Little Black Book”) from second place (“Saving Melanie”).

Documentary: the winner “Speak Up Speak Out” the HIV/AIDS primary schools debating competition got a strong 68% which is 50% more than second place “Simlan Island” with 16%.

Feature Film: “Music Box” came out on top with 51% then “Saving Melanie” with 44% of votes casted, in third place was the stand-out film “Eye Fi A Eye”.

Paranormal: “Brain Candy” is the winner of this category it has the second highest percentage of votes in the festival, 63%, second was “Evil Vibes 2” with 31%, “Black List” was third.

Social Issues – “Talking Cancer” by Scotia Bank Jamaica
Best Film – “Black List” by Roberto Iacurci, England.
Best Quality Film – “World of the Other” by Dima Venkov, Russia
Best Short Film – “Accept Me” by Manjo Kumar Gohil, India.
Best Director – Jose L. Cruz, “Saving Melanie” Canada.

Awards

Best Actor – Brian Renner, “Saving Melanie” Canada.
Best Actress – Neecole Cockerham, “Jesus Secretary’ USA.
Informative – “Dying Symphony” by Muhammad Akmal Khan, Islamabad
Stand out Feature Film – “Eye Fi A Eye” by Karret Barclay, Jamaica.
